Promote Gender Equality and Sustainable Livelihoods
Achieving sustainable improvements for vulnerable children, adults and their communities’ well-being requires designing programmes that not only have positive impacts on their economic empowerment and gender equality but do so in ways that can be expanded and maintained by local communities. The objective of this pillar is to support vulnerable communities with sustainable livelihood interventions aimed at improving the resilience of families so that they do not use all their income for basic needs such as food and other outcomes that improve the general economic status of families, ensuring access to basic services for children. In short, our goal is to improve vulnerable people’s access to sustainable sources of food and income.
Through our partners, we will design initiatives that promote climate-smart agricultural production, gender equality, and sustainable livelihoods such as income generating and microenterprise development initiatives.
